Somerton's Market Square and Saxon church look much as they have for centuries. Not so its 16th-century coaching inn. It has had a boutique makeover, introducing a fabulous horseshoe bar, though downstairs is really about food rather than drinks, thanks to dishes like Gloucester Old Spot pork and Cornish mackerel.
